College Library Services In ICT Environment With Special Reference To Golaghat District Of Assam

Abstract
In the present age libraries are considered as knowledge resource centers. In recent times, application of Information Communication and Technology has brought great changes in functioning of college libraries. At present, the college library has been maintaining two parallel collections of reading materials such as traditional that is print and electronic resources to satisfy the varied needs of the user community. This paper describes the overall changes in the field of college library by the advent of ICT.The present study is based on primary and secondary data. The secondary data includes published documents and books and journals etc. The data will be analysis to drawn the conclusion. This paper highlights problem and prospects of adoption and absorption of ICT in college library of Golaghat District.
