Abstract
Provision of the quality education and learning is the ultimate goal of any educational system. The success of teaching is reflected by academic performance of the students. This goal can never be achieved without discipline in the school. Effective discipline helps in the achievement of goals, expectation and responsibility in the students. Good discipline creates a good image of the schools and prepares learners for their future life. Disruptive behaviour amongst learners eliminated if there is good discipline at schools. The implementation of effective discipline in schools is a key factor for the learners in his journey to adulthood. Positive discipline allows students to learn and adapt their behaviours to meet expectations in the classroom, while simultaneously teaching them how to make better choices in adulthood. Maintaining good discipline in schools lays a good foundation of being selective, independent, punctual, focused and encouraged and organized in the student’s life. It is rightly said that, “Life without discipline is just like a ship without radar.” So, good discipline is important for students to complete their assigned tasks in time. The main purpose of this paper to study about the role of discipline in education and its impact on the process of learning.
